Tinto Hill 11th June

The Nevis Numptys decided to get a wee extra practice in! Angela and I at a very cloudy summit!
It was pouring with rain and very cold at the top..It was Angelas first hill and she was very proud of herself.

Ben Nevis Update

During our walk on the Isle of Bute, our team was established for the Ben Nevis Challenge. There are 4 of us girls sharing 2 tents. We have decided on the team name "Norbert's Nevis Numptys".
We will be numbered 1 to 4 determined by our own level of "Numptyness". I am either 3 or 4. Yvonne and I havent been Numptys yet but Anne is no 1 because she thought we were on Millport for a good while before realising it was Rothesay! Morag is no 2 because she went to great lengths to climb over a high gate whilst the rest of us waited till she was finished then opened it and walked through!
We have plans for wee champagne refreshers for the summit and are very much looking forward to it.

Rothesay and Mount Stuart House 5th June 2011

Well, today we set off early with the group for a "Mystery Tour". We knew we were going to an island but thought it might be Arran for Goatfell or Millport for a round island trek. However we ended up on the Isle of Bute.

We did the Mount Stuart House tour which was an absolutely stunning Victorian Gothic stately home. We werent allowed to take pictures unfortunately so can only picture it from outside.

After this tour we had a lunch stop and then walked back into Rothesay which was about a 5 or 6 mile walk through open fields and woodland back to the Ferry Terminal for the journey back to Wemyss Bay.

Where next?
